Your overall objective will be to assess and decision loan applications within a delegated lending authority. All credit decisions are to be made within policy and risk parameters, while achieving agreed service levels. In addition you will be charged with:
  • Quality assurance on all loan applications ensuring all required paperwork is supplied to support the application
  • Reviewing more junior staff members self employed credit applications and provide feedback
  • Liaising with both internal and external customers such as solicitors, valuers and mortgage insurers
  • Identifying and referring any suspect or fraudulent applications to compliance for review
  • Actioning workflow queues as instructed
  • Imparting knowledge to others and assisting more junior staff and other staff members within the business
  • Making recommendations to processes to ensure efficiencies are in place and service levels are delivered and exceeded
The successful candidate will have current mortgage assessment experience and will hold or will have held a delegated lending authority in the past. You have adept communication skills and an intermediate level of computer literacy coupled with an analytical background and ability to look outside the square. You are serviced focused and are able to work to strict deadlines and service levels.
